Dalton Hill Christian Church Hillsville Va.
OUR MINISTER
Jason and Santana Simpkins came to Dalton Hill in 2011. Since arriving they have added a third member to the Dalton Hill fold, known as Baby Lee.
Jason's folks are from Southwest Virginia and he grew up just a ways down the mountain in Rural Hall, North Carolina. He grew up a preacher's kid and grew to love God's church and the communion of the saints because of the faithful example of his parents. He attended Bible College at Atlanta Christian College and went on to receive his MDiv. at Emmanuel Christian Seminary. He has been in the ministry for over fifteen years and has a passion for preaching God's word.
Santana now works as a director of a local Christian daycare where she impacts little lives daily for Christ. She serves the Lord with all her heart, soul, and strength, and her life is a shining example of what Christ can do through one who is willing to serve.
They were called to Dalton Hill to grow the next generation of Christian leaders who will serve this community and the world with passion and exellence for Christ.

WHAT DENOMINATION IS THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH?
Our church is a non-denominational congregregation, a part of a larger movement of churches known as the Restoration Movement, sometimes known as the Independent Christian Church. This movement started back in the early 19th century on the American Frontier as an answer to the deep religious divides that had been carried over from Europe, and from centuries of theogical frustrations. A simpler ideal was discovered as these American Frontier preachers got back to the Bible, and upheld it as the sole authority for determining the form and function of the church. Therefore, we have no bishops or superintendents, we have no national headquarter, nor do we subscribe to any extra-biblical creed. The Word of God is the sole authority, and Jesus Christ is that Word. We share the belief stated in Ephesians 2:20 that the church is "built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone." Thus we committ ourselves to the example of the New Testament Church and the teachings found there, including but not limited to: Biblical immersion and meeting on the first day of the week for teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer." (Acts 2:42)
